The festival has always been family (and pet) friendly and this year we will be adding other interesting elements for all ages! WHAT'S NEW THIS YEAR...BUBBLEBALL by Wonderfly Games... and a human HAMSTER BALL. Come out (Sunday only, noon-5pm ) and try the hilarious new activity that is fun for all ages! CRAFTSMEN & VENDORSâ¦Local and Regional Artisans and Vendors throughout the grounds and two (2) buildings. CANINE OBSTACLE COURSE...Since we are pet friendly, this new fun-to-watch and fun-to-participate activity is our new fun element for our four-legged friends (Saturday only). KIDZONE AREA with INFLATABLESâ¦always popular, always fun! An area just for the kids with Bubble Ball, Giant Slide, Obstacle and Bounce House, face painting and other fun activities. ANTIQUE CAR SHOW with trophies AND continuous PRIZE BINGO both days! TAP & CORK TASTING (HARD CIDERS & CRAFT BEERS)â¦Very popular addition to the festival. Artisans from throughout the region will be added to the lineup of festival activities. Must be 21 and over with ID required. Tasting fee extra. Live entertainment nearby makes this a can't miss attraction! APPLE PIE EATING CONTEST HOSTED BY WHITE HOUSE/NATIONAL FRUITâ¦What would an apple harvest festival be without the popular apple pie eating contest? Center stage, Sunday at 3pm! APPLE PIE BAKING CONTEST/FREE APPLEâ¦Another got-to-have crowd pleaser! This brings in a lot of school age children and their families to watch while the judges sample the variety of homemade pies in the apple theme booth. The Apple Theme Arena is where you can get a free apple and apple cider. Meet representatives of the Virginia Old Time Apple Growers Association and the Alson Smith VA Tech Research Lab, ask questions and see the over 60 varieties of apples on display. APPLE BUTTER MAKING...Made fresh on-site. Almost guaranteed your purchase will still be warm! LIVE ENTERTAINMENT⦠Continuous entertainment featuring Nashville star Blake Esse (currently touring with Big & Rich), Bud's Collective, Jimmy Lee...among others...all family friendly.
