The Arts in the Middle Fine Arts Show is "a day (or 2) in the country" for art aficionados from ares surrounding Virginia's River Realm (including Richmond, Williamsburg, Tidewater, No. Virginia & Washington, DC.) Chosen in 2018 as one of the top art events in Eastern VA by Virginia Living Magazine, both artists & customers love the "perfect festival setting" at 17th century Hewick Plantation period buildings, expansive lawn, & large trees shading a manicured path through the exhibits. A short stroll away is Urbanna a lively waterfront destination for visitors arriving by bike, boat, car and/or camper. Supported by Virginia Commission for the Arts, Middlesex County, regional and local sponsors, our production team provides impressive advertising through print, radio, web and social media promos. "Arts in the Middle" is a featured week-end event for neighboring #1 National Award Winning Bethpage Camp Resort. Enjoy music, local foods, and area wineries; an army of friendly volunteers; near-by parking; drive up/tent side load/unload; cash prizes; a awards party for the artists on Saturday night; and a good size crowd of art lovers. Artists give us top ratings - some report us their favorite of the season for the venue, outstanding hospitality & volunteer support and top quality artists.
