19th Annual Gifts from the HeART Shopping Event

Reston Community Center Lake Anne becomes a festive marketplace of food and gifts during the Gifts from the HeART Holiday Gift-Shopping Event on Saturday, December 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This one-day event offers everyone an opportunity to enjoy holiday refreshments while perusing the many tables of original artwork that include ornaments, small and large paintings, notecards, textiles, pottery, sculpture, fused glass and jewelry.

Participating artists donate ten percent of their proceeds from sales during the Holiday Gift Shopping Event and throughout the months of December and January to help Cornerstones continue their important work. This includes operation of the Embry Rucker Community Shelter, the Laurel Learning Center and their Community Services Outreach, which provides job counseling, emergency food, and youth programs. Approximately $11,000 has been raised for Cornerstones since the annual exhibit was first held in 1999.
