The Canal Trail of The Great Dismal Swamp in Chesapeake Virginia.
Join us this year as we celebrate the Native American Indian groups that were interacting with the Swamp long before the Swamp filled with water, around 10,000 years ago.
The Great Dismal Swamp Art Festival exists at the connection of art, nature and community.
The Dismal Swamp Art festival offers a magical experience on the Canal Trail of the National Wildlife Refuge. Fine artist come from near and far to sell and share their works, while interacting with visitors. The 2 days of journey include varieties of live music to ease the spirit, while your taste buds enjoy local famous Brunswick Stew and other scrumptious Fall fare. Fine wine ,Craft Brews, and Hot Apple Cider will keep everyone hydrated all weekend long. Harvest themed activities and artistic expression await children of all ages.
