Centerfest, one of central and southwest Virginias largest outdoor street festivals marks its 35th year in 2016. This rain or shine festival is a family friendly event that celebrates and promotes the regions rich cultural traditions of food, art, craft and music. The festival meanders over streets in Centertown Bedford and hosts live performance stages, an artisan market, food vendors, a gospel alley, amusement rides and a food and beer garden. Vendors are positioned in the middle of the street to allow access to local shops and restaurants, and to showcase the rich variety of goods and services that Centertown Bedford has to offer.
