MID-SUMMER FANTASY FESTIVAL

Norfolk Festevents presents an interactive performance art event that will emerge in Town Point Park, July 29th-31th, 2016, and will explore a meditation of Shakespearean themes with visual and performance artists, large scale art installations, musicians and event designers. This exuberant three day event is free and open to the public of all ages.

It is inspired by such innovative events as Burning Man in the Nevada desert, the Figment movement and New Yorks immersive theater Sleep No More, and is the first interactive performance art project for Hampton Roads and introduces the largest collaboration of diverse performing and visual artists in a public project in this region.

Audiences are invited to dress up, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and wait to become part of the story or wander through the large scale art installations to create their own unique experience. Light Seeking Light is ready for you to explore and discover modern experiential theater magical environments, experience art and become a part of Shakespeares imaginative tales within the beautiful Town Point Park.

The festival will feature a variety of unique entertainment, childrens activities, craft brews, wines and ciders, as well as gourmet specialty food selections.
