Description: | From 36th annual Dayton Autumn Celebration Website: The Dayton Days Autumn Celebration is a very popular arts and crafts festival held annually on the first Saturday in October (8:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m.) in historic downtown Dayton. The festival attracts an estimated 20,000 attendees annually to indulge in the culture, arts and handmade crafts of over 300 vendors from numerous states. Attendees also enjoy a wide variety of delicious foods, specialty shops at the Dayton Farmers Market and other local unique shops, The Heritage Museum (galleries, exhibits, electric Civil War map, and an extensive genealogy library), tours of Fort Harrison (Daniel Harrison House c. 1749), Silver Lake Mill, and activities for children.
In addition to free festival admission, the Town of Dayton offers free shuttle bus transportation from parking lots at local schools: Turner Ashby High School, Wilbur Pence Middle School, and John Wayland Elementary School continuously throughout the day.
The festival is handicap accessible, with handicap parking and restroom facilities. No bicycles, skates or skateboards permitted. No pets allowed except for service dogs. Come and Join in the Festivities in Historic Dayton to Celebrate the Fascinating Autumn Season!
