The Russell County Fair and Horse Show will be held September 4th - September 12th at the Russell County Fairgrounds in Castlewood, Virginia. The Russell County Fair and Horse Show features an array of events, something for everyone of any age to enjoy. Events include a carnival, scholarship pageant, horse shows, bull riding, livestock events, horseless cowboy contest, car show, demolition derby, antique tractor pull, truck and modified tractor pull, paintball tournament, pet show, and entertainment showcasing local and nationally known entertainers including country, bluegrass and gospel music performances. The Russell County Fair and Horse Show is THE event to attend. The fair showcases Russell County with its scenic rolling mountains as a backdrop, our mountain heritage, commercial exhibits and arts and crafts.
