Arts Around the Lake

Approximately 75 artists will be displaying and selling their juried artwork in various mediums. Arts Around the Lake is sponsored by the Greater Richmond Alumni Chapter. Admission and parking are free.

Prior to July 2003, the Richmond Club of the Westhampton College Alumnae Association was the event sponsor (Westhampton College is the women's college of the university). Volunteers run the show and serve on the committee.

Arts Around the Lake started as part of the University of Richmond's 150th anniversary in 1979. The proceeds go toward a scholarship fund for a local student to attend the University and supports the regional art community. It is a juried show and artists are juried every four years for a space to exhibit and sell their work. New artists are then juried to fill any remaining spaces.
