Description: | From Appalachian Heritage Fall Festival Website: The annual Fall Festival in St. Paul is a variety of family-friendly activities and entertainment to celebrate fall in our treasured Appalachian Mountains. The main drag downtown becomes alive with good old-fashioned fun for young and old. Squaredance lessons, hay rides and a miniature train, a variety of farmers, artisans, crafters, and more demonstrating how-to's.
There will be apple butter making and tasting, cornmeal grinding, candle making, quilting demos, pumpkin decorating, blacksmithing, jewelery making, wood carving and more. Learn medicinal uses for native plants and animal tracking. Play a game of cornhole or take a cupcake walk. Eat some soup beans and cornbread while enjoying some "Jacktales" or good old mountain music. Visit a civil war encampment and check out coal mining in the old days. Visit with our farmers, check out the fresh produce and taste local honey. Spend some time celebrating days gone by... see you there!
