Sedalia will celebrate its 25th Anniversary with a seated dinner under a tent on Sedalia's lawn. The event will begin at 5:00 pm in the evening and wind down by 11:00 Saturday night.

In addition to a gourmet meal, your $40 ticket admits you to a Silent Auction in the Blue Room, a Juried Art Exhibit in the Gallery, and a jazz concert under the Pavilion. You will have the opportunity to stroll the campus and visit with local artisans demonstrating their crafts in the newly renovated Art Studio and at various sites around the grounds, and browse the retrospective of artifacts and memorabilia commemorating the Center's history. Refresh yourself with wine, beer and soft drinks available from cash bars near the different venues.

When Sedalia opened its doors 25 years ago, it was nearly alone in offering space for area residents to explore their creativity. Now we are one of many such institutions, but still a lone outpost in rural northern Bedford County. As a private non-profit organization, the Sedalia Center has only its own resources, human and financial, that are freely given by friends who understand the value of a place to come to where people can educate and entertain themselves without traveling long distances or paying high prices.

Its venerable motto, "for the Art of Living and the Living Arts," has long guided Sedalia to explore ways to bring high-quality fine and performing arts to its corner of the world. Heading into its 25th year, Sedalia has expanded its interpretation of that motto to include the agrarian and domestic arts as well. As a Venue of Bedford's new Artisan Trail, Sedalia will be working closely with other organizations and businesses to offer programs and events of current interest to the public.
