Our Fair is held yearly in late August on the fairgrounds located at Southwest Virginia Farmers Market in Hillsville, Virginia.

The goal of our Agricultural Fair is to be both fun and educational for people of all ages. We also know that the economy has made it hard on area families and we want to give our community an economical place to enjoy themselves while learning about the importance of Agriculture. This is why the Fair committee has set a daily, LOW, ONE PRICE, gate entrance fee that includes for ALL the events scheduled by our Fair Committee.

Our desire is that the fair gives individuals a chance to reminisce about the way things used to be and at the same time show how agriculture and the area has progressed. Therefore, we want folks to come away from the event with a better understanding of the areas agriculture diversity and agricultures importance to the areas economy.

While several of our fair events are centered on agriculture, we will have numerous events that are not directly related to agriculture such as the carnival rides, the storytelling, beauty pageants, and more.

We hope that the fair will continue to develop each year into an event that the entire community and area can enjoy and take pride in.
