Historical displays and demonstrations, re-enactments, tractor and truck pulls, small engine displays, arts and crafts, flea market, antique and modern construction equipment demonstrations, a log cabin with a heritage craft area, and historic buildings. Volunteers demonstrate the daily routines of the life of a family surviving in rural Virginia which include wheat and peanut threshing, meat smoking, sorghum molasses making, washing clothes, canning, saw milling, and more.

Permanent exhibits include a working United States Post Office, a 1930s grocery store and a 1930s garage, fire lookout tower, blacksmith shop, woodwright shop,canning kitchen, ice house, gold mining equipment, corn crib, Log Cabin, Pullman railroad car, caboose, and engine buildings and our Educational Buildings filled with rotating and permanent displays and exhibits..

The Field Day of the Past show grounds are located at the intersection of Rout 623 (Ashland Road) and Route 622 in Goochland County. Off I-64, exit #172 (Rockville Manakin) south. Grounds are located 1/8 mile from the interstate. Follow the signs.

Take 288 North to Broad Street Road West exit (Route 250) go approximately one mile to traffic light at Route 623 (Ashland Road). Turn right and follow signs.
