Description: (Virginia Beach, VA) – Explore the works of over 75 artists and craftsmen during Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation’s 35th annual art and craft festival, Artisans in the Park ¬— all in the serenely secluded backdrop of Great Neck Park (2513 Shorehaven Drive). This two-day event offers attendees the unique opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy Virginia Beach’s summertime weather while discovering the ingenuity of local and national artists displaying, demonstrating and selling their original art and fine craft wares. This event is free and open to the public, beginning at 10 a.m. on both days, ending at 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, and then 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 8.

A wide array of art forms comprise this outdoor art and craft festival including pottery, metal and glass work, photography, distinctive jewelry, paintings and sculptures, all of original design with the artists on site. There are artisans who throw pots, turn wood, paint on feathers, create glass sculptures, forge metal, and photograph beautiful landscapes, including beach and historic settings in Hampton Roads.
